The quality of work life is a philosophy of management science, emphased on increasing the dignity of human and with the aim of psychological well-being and people's physical health in order to create opportunities for growth and development. The aim of this study was to investigate the quality of work life of steel industry employees in Iran, based on the qualitative method. In order to identify factors affecting the quality of life of steel industry employees and provide strategies and consequences. 18 employees, experts and managers of Mobarakeh Steel Company and 7 academic experts interviewed with the purposive sampling method and theoretical saturation criteria. The results showed that the causal factors affecting the quality of work life include 5 categories of personal issues, work-life balance and responsibilities, management issues, organizational justice, and the work environment. Effective strategies were presented for all categories. The results indicate that undoubtedly, paying attention to factors affecting the quality of life of workers will increase productivity and attract talented humans, reducing costs and increasing profitability.
